For more impressive renderings, try eye level views. Also, textures and patterns are very hard to get right. It often works better to keep the rendering somewhat abstract by using solid, untextured finishes, transparent people, and other transparent objects. If you create grates for shading devices, lots of glass for reflections and transparency, the architecture itself will be more beautiful. The busy play of light, shadow, and reflection is a major factor in making a building beautiful.
